The WaterInTime has all the classical elements of a modern automatic watering system: a humidity sensor, a pump and a controller. But its design is unique: it uses battery power supply and a small case, which can be hidden practically behind every pot. That means you have a miniature pump station at your disposal, which can use any type of water reservoir, takes soil moisture into account and is adjusted individually to the plant. This thing can provide plants with the best, even exclusive service.
The WaterInTime has a very simple principle of work: the device measures the soil moisture and starts watering depending on this factor. The user sets the "when" and "how much" parametres himself by adjusting the water volume and the level of moisture necessary to start watering. After that the device waits for the soil to reach the adjusted level of moisture and then waters the plant with the pre-set amount of water.
All possible watering regimes can be used:
1) The soil must be always damp.
Adjust the level of moisture and put the volume of water to its minimum - the device will keep the moisture of the soil at the necessary level by constant poiuring small portions of water.
2) Moderate watering without having too dry or too damp soil.
Set the medium moisture level and the medium volume of water - you will have moderate watering and no dry soil.
3) Abundant watering of the soil and getting it dry afterwards.
Set the level of moisture for dry soil and the volume of water for maximum: the device will wait for the soil to get dry and then water it profoundly.
The volume of water is adjusted with handle "Volume". You can change this parametre according to the situation.
The level of moisture is adjusted "to the place". You just wait for the soil to become dry enough for watering and press the button: the device remembers this level.
Watering is done with the help of a flexible dripping hose which is put around the plant and destributes water equally to all the roots. This is very important, because when you water just one spot you leave other roots without water - they get dry and the plan becomes weak. The water in the pot goes down vertically, not horizontally. To prove this, make an experiment: put dry soil into a transparent pot and water just one side of the it - the soil on the other side of the pot will stay dry almost up to the bottom.
The WaterInTime is not connected to the water pipe - it gets water from any reservoir which you have through a thin, flexible and practically unnoticeable silicone hose. The reservoir can stand 2 metres below the device, but not above it.
The WaterInTime works on two AA batteries. This means you don't need any cables or sockets. It is recommended to use rechargeable accumulatorsof maximum capacity. Accumulators of 2700 mA/h are enough for 50 litres of water. This means several months of service for an average plant.
It is impossible to miss the moment when the batteries discharge or the water finishes - the WaterInTime will tell you about it with the help of sound and a light indicator.
The pump of this device works practically without any noise, moreover it doesn't switch on at night due to the light sensor.
So, to sum it up, everything is designed very smartly for you and your plant.
