Since the dawn of civilization people tried to decorate their life with plants. Plants create comfortable atmosphere around us, make us closer to nature, calm our nerves and rise our mood.
Put a pot with a plant on your working table, anyone you like. You will immediately feel how the psychological atmosphere has changed. Put one more plant and your lungs will feel the difference in the atmosphere of the room. According to the NASA research, plants at home can absorb the most part of harmful substances from the air, and you don't need any expensive equipment for that. Plants also regulate humidity in the room, thus protecting you from respiratory diseases.
But each medal has its reverse side - in this case it is the care of plants. And the most difficult part of it is proper watering. For many people it is a sort of a stumbling block. You need to be very organized not to forget to water plants in our modern break-neck life rhythm. Moreover, proper watering means checking the soil moisture in each pot, because in is the only way to determine the time of watering. The level of water consumption by the plant can vary depending on different factors (temperature, humidity, light), and if you water it after the same intervals with the same amount of water, you can give your plants too little or too much water (which is even worse).
You can find a lot of equipment for automatic watering on the market, but all of them have different faults: either they are too big, don't match the interior of the room, or they don't take the soil moisture into account, or are impossible to adjust and don't suit different types of soil or different plants.
We tried to fill this gap by creating a compact device which can easily be hidden and which will supply your plant with water just in necesarry time. The divice WaterInTime is a mini pump station which waters the plant according to the level of soil moisture. The device is attached to the pot, supplied with a soil moisture sensor, a micropump, and a microcontroller. It is easy to adjust, and it suits any plant - you just set the level of soil moisture, necessary for watering, and the volume of water.
